When I read the theme for that month I was not sure to have any good pictures at all. Then I remembered our trip to egypt and the pictures with the dolphins. I did not think that would fit at the beginning, but I thought lets give it a try. So I uploaded some shots and was very excited today, to get the first and second place with that images. So thank you very much for that honor.
Couples was the topic of September. I searched my harddrives for the best images and uploaded some images from Lembeh and Germany. I guess the difference from the german critters made the point at the end. The maiting snails where taken at the beginning of the year. I think that was a very good idea and the image got honored with place 3 again. Thank you very much.
Bluewater was the topic of September. I thought about if I had anything at all that might fit well and has an outstanding look. After I while I remembered the last vacation to Egypt and the dolphins and guessed that a split shot could be rare at this month. I think that was a very good idea and the dolphin got honored with place 7 again. Thank you very much.
Split shot was the theme for July. Good for me I practised a lot of split shots during my last trip to egypt. The trip before I already tried a split shot at the Daedalus reef with the lighthouse in the background. This time I got some help from Heinz Toperczer with the light and setup. We waited for the right moment and went into the water. After some test shots and struggeling with the current I could get that shot. Thank you Martina for modelling and Heinz for your help with the backlight.
When I read the description I remembered immediately the picture I shot in Egypt at the Panorama reef nord. I love this shot and have it framed in my sleeping room because it is so full of life and details. So this competition seemed to be the right one and it got honored with place 7. Thank you very much.
Since freshwater critters are not really known, most people do not even know what they see on my pictures. Everyone knows the tropical critters and knows how hard they are to shoot and how small theye are. I think the freshwater critters in Germany are as awesome as others too. So it is really great to be featured from Wetpixel with this Full Frame article. I recommend to read the full article, just click below.
I was honored by Lia Barret to become photographer of the week at DIVE PHOTO GUIDE. Thank you very much for that. I recommend to read the full article, just click below.

When I did a macro dive in Egypt, suddenly a triggerfish was in front of my lens. I pulled the trigger and got this picture which looks like a painting. The topic of this month was „pattern“ and my picture was awarded with the 3rd place.
This turtle was fascinated by its own reflexion in my domeport and stayed a while for a nice shooting in Egypt. Yes! magazing liked this image and took it for an article you can read here.
