Split shot was the theme for July. Good for me I practised a lot of split shots during my last trip to egypt. The trip before I already tried a split shot at the Daedalus reef with the lighthouse in the background. This time I got some help from Heinz Toperczer with the light and setup. We waited for the right moment and went into the water. After some test shots and struggeling with the current I could get that shot. Thank you Martina for modelling and Heinz for your help with the backlight.
When I read the description I remembered immediately the picture I shot in Egypt at the Panorama reef nord. I love this shot and have it framed in my sleeping room because it is so full of life and details. So this competition seemed to be the right one and it got honored with place 7. Thank you very much.
Since freshwater critters are not really known, most people do not even know what they see on my pictures. Everyone knows the tropical critters and knows how hard they are to shoot and how small theye are. I think the freshwater critters in Germany are as awesome as others too. So it is really great to be featured from Wetpixel with this Full Frame article. I recommend to read the full article, just click below.
I was honored by Lia Barret to become photographer of the week at DIVE PHOTO GUIDE. Thank you very much for that. I recommend to read the full article, just click below.

This turtle was fascinated by its own reflexion in my domeport and stayed a while for a nice shooting in Egypt. Yes! magazing liked this image and took it for an article you can read here.
